Dominion Alliance

The Dominion Alliance for the Total Suppression of the Liquor Traffic, with branches in every province, and the Woman’s Christian Temperance Union were the major voices of temperance sentiment in Canada. The Sons of Temperance, a fraternal organization, took a leading role in 1875 in establishing the Dominion Alliance, an organization formed to coordinate the efforts of the numerous existing societies.
